On November 23, the Ural Federal University concluded the Friendship of Peoples Festival. To introduce students to the characteristics and traditions of their countries, foreign students prepared an exhibition of national cultures and cuisines and a creative gala concert. Students from Kazakhstan, China, Afghanistan, Mongolia, African and Arab countries, India, Pakistan, Latin America, Vietnam, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Iraq and Russia participated in the event.

“I experience a pleasant excitement, because the festival has not been held in this format for two years. I am glad that a lot of students came, that everyone feels good and enjoys it. I want everyone to taste the dishes and enjoy everything. This is a very important event for our community, because we can show our culture, emotions and hospitality,” Alisher Rakhimov, the Chairmanan of the Tajik Union, shared his excitement.

The Friendship of Peoples Festival brings together international students in sports, intellectual and creative activities: teams of compatriots competed in sports games, attended master classes in acting and different types of dancing, and played an intellectual game. The festival is organized by the Student Organization of the United Nations of UrFU.

More than 4,000 students from more than 100 countries study at Ural Federal University. For the first time since 2019, the festival was held without restrictions.
