Ural Federal University: Izumrud International School Olympiad Finished

The Izumrud International School Olympiad of Ural Federal University has come to an end. The qualifying stage of the Olympiad was attended by 40 thousand people. Almost 7,000 schoolchildren made it to the final stage. Of these, 1,440 were winners and prize-winners in the academic year 2021/22. 20 people received first degree diplomas and 28 foreigners from among the winners were declared candidates for education within the quota of the Government of the Russian Federation for the education of foreign citizens in the academic year 2022/23.

“Despite the continuing difficult epidemiological situation, we again managed to conduct the final stage of the Olympiad in person, unlike most of our colleagues, as a result of a well-organized system of organization and carrying out of the Olympiad. This allowed us to get the works of the participants, the integrity of which is not in doubt”, commented the results Ivan Petrus, a member of the organizing committee of the Olympiad.

The winners and runners-up will be able to enter UrFU without taking into account entrance tests (the sum of their USE scores) or get additional scores in accordance with the university admission rules.
