The event will take place at UrFU.

Today, digital communication channels have become an indispensable tool for positioning the brand of universities, developing international academic cooperation, and promoting educational and scientific services on the international market. They have demonstrated their undoubted effectiveness under the constraints of the pandemic.

Taking into account recent international events and related restrictive measures from Western countries regarding educational and scientific cooperation with Russia, restrictions on work with popular social networks, presence on foreign educational portals, etc., digital marketing will not only not lose its role, the importance of working with content, choosing the right tools, platforms, etc. will increase.

The event is timed to the release of the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) report “Electronic Internationalization: English-language Internet Resources of Russian Universities (2022)”, which presents an updated rating of English-language sites of Russian universities and gives recommendations for its development.

The following topics are planned to be discussed during the seminar:

What are the global trends in the development of university digital marketing? How relevant are they to Russia?
What are the main obstacles and opportunities for the development of international digital marketing tools for Russian universities under current conditions (social networks, digital platforms, etc.)?
What role does the English-language website play in the overall structure of digital marketing? What are the specifics of working with content in the context of anti-crisis measures?
What are the available ways to attract foreign applicants under the current conditions?
During the event the leading Russian universities will share their experience in implementing digital marketing strategies in the new geopolitical conditions and best practices of promotion in international educational markets (traditional and new).
