Ural Federal University: Steelgraphics Exhibition at the University

An unusual project was launched by Master’s students of the Institute of New Materials and Technologies of Ural Federal University – students are engaged in the creation of artworks made of steel. Metal art pieces can be seen daily until the end of May in the main academic building’s assembly hall (19 Mira St.).

Steelgraphy is the creation of artwork and various panels made of metal. The interior in which the pieces are located becomes a kind of background for them and part of the visualization of the objects. The exhibition features steel reproductions of paintings by famous artists: “The Starry Night ” by Vincent Van Gogh, “The Scream” by Edvard Munch and “Zebra” by Victor Vasarely.

In addition, it is possible to see the artists’ works, sketches of which were created from photographs taken not far from the main building.
