Ural Federal University Strengthens Cooperation with MARA Technological University

The Ural Federal University and the MARA Technological University (UiTM) will actively cooperate in various areas. First, it concerns student mobility development and the exchange of guest lecturers and scientists for research and lectures. The corresponding Memorandum of Cooperation in a distance format was signed today by Victor Koksharov, the rector of the UrFU, and Mohd Rasdi Zaini, the rector of the UiTM.

The two universities will also cooperate on the exchange of library materials and scientific publications, symposiums, and conferences. The parties agreed to strengthen, promote, and develop international research cooperation.

“The UiTM is a recognized university with experience in education and research, as well as a dynamic program of cooperation with many international partners. Of course, we are very pleased to see the Ural Federal University among our partners. The UrFU is one of the leading universities in Russia, with a rich history, traditions, and successes in the field of training qualified personnel for enterprises. We also greatly respect the work of the university’s scientists, whose achievements are known not only in Russia but also far beyond its borders,” said Mohd Rasdi Zaini.

The MARA Technological University (UiTM) is the largest general university in Malaysia. It consists of 34 campuses, four training colleges, 14 faculties, and nine academic centers nationwide. The UiTM offers more than 500 academic programs at the level of short-term programs, undergraduate taught, undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate, and professional development programs. The university currently has an enrollment of about 188,000 students and has graduated over one million students since its foundation.
