Ural federal university: The Silver Archer Awards is an annual national award for community organization, UrFU project wins the Grand Prix of the regional stage

The communication project by a group of young international UrFU scientists of the Ural Federal University the ‘Neurogymnastics for the Silver Age’ won in the nomination the ‘Anti-crisis communications during a pandemic’, receiving the audience vote, and took the Grand Prix of the IX regional prize in the development of public relations Silver Archer – Ural Stage. Prof. Marina Klimenskikh alongside with her students worked with mental health of the elderly during the isolation period.

Neurogymnastics for the Silver Age project is implemented by teachers and students of the master’s degree program Cognitive neurosciences fully taught in English. The project aims to remotely support older people during the coronavirus pandemic. The program offers a set of exercises to optimize a stable psycho-emotional state and cognitive functions during isolation.

The public presentations of the finalist projects and the awarding of the winners took place on February 6 at the Sinara Center cultural and exhibition complex. Thanks to the Grand Prix, the project was also included in the shortlist of the XXIV National Silver Archer Prize.

The national award in the field of development of public relations the Silver Archer was established on June 25, 1997, by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, the Union of Journalists of the Russian Federation, and the Russian Association for Public Relations. Over the years, more than 4 thousand projects have taken part in the competition for the highest professional award.

The Silver Archer – Ural Stage has been held since 2012. During the existence of the award, more than 600 projects took part in the Ural competition, 10 projects became finalists of the Silver Archer national award.
