Ural Federal University: University Creative Groups Support Guests from the Donetsk People’s Republic

This week Ural Federal University creative groups supported guests from the Donetsk People’s Republic. At the opening of the “University Sessions”, which started in the Russian State Vocational Pedagogical University, the students from Ural Federal University Creativity Center, “Phenomen-A” team, modern choreography team “Laboratory of Dance” and hip-hop studio “Forsage” performed. There was also a master class on how to learn modern dance for the participants.

“Our creative groups enjoyed performing in front of the children from the Donetsk People’s Republic, making them happy and teaching them something new. We will continue our participation in this project. In the near future we are planning a master class from the UrFU Drawing School,” says Maria Afanasyeva, Head of the Student Creativity Center.

On the opening day of the session, the team leaders organized team-building and socializing games for the guests from the Donetsk People’s Republic, and the Ural Tourism Association held a tour of the historical center of Ekaterinburg. A rich educational program was prepared for the delegation, including tours of Ural cities and industrial centers, museum and cultural complexes of Ekaterinburg, interactive lessons, workshops using modern technologies, such as VR and 3D-modeling. Lecturers also prepared special career guidance master classes for children.

“Ekaterinburg welcomed us kindly. It is very nice that a large and informative program was prepared for us for all ten days,” shared their first impressions the participants.
