Ural Federal University: University Organizes Educational Forums for Participants of the “I Am a Professional” Olympiad

The selection of students for the “I am a Professional” National Student Olympiad educational forums, organized by Ural Federal University, began on December 13. Forums in Material Science and Construction, as well as Software Engineering and Radio Engineering, will be held in the first half of February in Sochi.

At the Forums students will meet with professionals in their industry, heads of HR departments of large companies, business coaches, psychologists and UrFU professors. Excursions, sports and entertainment events will complement the program.

“The forums are held to create an environment to develop the abilities of talented students and provide them with opportunities to improve their professional knowledge and skills. Every year we receive positive feedback from the participants. Many of them have found jobs and new friends through the forums,” said Maxim Shnyrev, head of Ural Federal University’s Division for Continuing Education and Career Guidance.

Students who have successfully passed the preliminary competitions of the Olympiad “I am a Professional” can apply by December 27. When selecting candidates, a motivation letter with a description of experience and plans in the professional field corresponding to the subject of the forum is taken into account.

Traditionally, for all Ural Federal University students who successfully pass the selection for one of the two Forums, the University will pay for airfare to the venue, three meals a day and participation in educational and cultural events of the forums. The results of the selection will be known at the end of December.
