Ural Federal University: University Students Are the Best Esports Athletes of the Country

The sixth season of the All-Russian Student CyberSports League 2022 ended in Rostov-on-Don. The Ural Federal University team became the champion of the tournament.

UrFU sportsmen scored the highest number of points – 370 points – in five disciplines (Dota 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, StarCraft 2, Hearthstone and Clash Royale). The final score was a new record for the competition. The UrFU team took first place in Dota 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO), second in Clash Royale and third in StarCraft 2.

The final stage was divided into a group stage and a playoff. In the group stage, the teams were divided into two groups of four. Two teams from each group entered the playoffs and played one-off games.

A total of 8,403 people participated in the league. The prize fund of the tournament amounted to more than 3 million rubles.
