Ural Federal University: University Students Became Finalists in National Boxing Competitions

On March 14-20, Siberian Federal University (Krasnoyarsk) held All-Russian competitions among students in boxing in memory of A. I. Kiselev. Students of Ural Federal University Sergey Murashev and Evgeny Lyashkov became silver medalists in their weight categories. More than 130 students from 30 regions of Russia fought for medals.

It should be noted that Sergey Murashev has already been the champion of these competitions in 2019, he was also the winner of the All-Russian Summer Student Games in 2020. In his turn, Evgeny Lyashkov became the champion last year.

“I participated in the competition in the weight category up to 60 kg and took second place. I had three fights, the first opponent was from Belgorod Region, the second from Khanty-Mansiysk, the last fight was with an opponent from Moscow. The competition was well organized, I note the high level of training of the athletes and high competition. I want to say thank you to our university for sending us to such competitions and helping us in everything,” Evgeny Lyashkov shared his impressions.
