Ural Federal University: University Students Helped Organize the Inclusive Dialogue Platform
The I Youth Forum of Abilympics movement participants “My Vector: Mastery. Creativity. Career” was held on November 30 in “Boiling Point – Ekaterinburg”. More than 100 people joined the event. Students of the Faculty of Political Science and Sociology of the Ural Federal University helped with the forum.
The task of the forum is to organize an inclusive dialogue platform where young people can expand knowledge, discover new opportunities in education, employment, social activism, as well as develop leadership skills and other competencies necessary for independent life in modern society.
The forum was devoted to the promotion of socio-cultural inclusion in society, popularization of the Abilympics movement and the formation of an environment that ensures the inclusion of young people with disabilities and disabilities in the main spheres of life. The program included a plenary session and section work, participation in master classes to develop self-confidence and find hidden talents. Participants shared their stories of achieving results and integration into society, types of employment and entrepreneurial activities. In addition, they talked with experienced mentors and experts, representatives of the business community, participants in professional skill competitions, creative teams, and community organizations.
