Ural Federal University: University Students Received Gold Medals of the “I Am a Professional” Olympiad
The awarding ceremony of the fifth season of the “I Am a Professional” Student Olympiad was held on June 27 in Moscow. The heads of 35 leading Russian universities, representatives of partner companies, members of the “I am Professional” Association of Student Olympiad Organizers Council and guests awarded 110 medalists from all over the country. Among the gold medalists are UrFU students: Alina Vinokurova (Civil Engineering), Konstantin Klimov (Biotechnology) and Maria Maslova (Philology).
“My first successes in the Olympiad helped me believe in myself and turned over a new page. The idea that I can popularize important ideas through my arguments and solutions, as well as influence the future of my field, keeps me going. All this together gives me self-confidence and also helps me to grow, move on and build my future,” Alina Vinokurova shared her impressions.
The strongest participants of the Olympiad, holders of bronze, silver and gold medals will receive financial prizes from 100 to 300 thousand rubles. Diploma holders within two calendar years after receiving their diploma as an entrance test can be credited with the result obtained at the “I Am a Professional”, which actually guarantees the opportunity to study in the direction of the relevant profile.
“Ural Federal University is a university that graduates specialists for the digital economy. We have almost 3,000 budget-funded places in Master’s Degree programs, and we are the leaders in the country in terms of budget-funded places. We are waiting for all the winners within our walls! After all, the university has special increased scholarships for you, up to 30 thousand rubles, and many other opportunities,” said Aleksey Fayustov, Ural Federal University Vice-Rector for Information Policy, at the ceremony.
In total 82 students of Ural Federal University became winners and prize-winners of the Olympiad, 12 of them were medalists.
