Ural Federal University: UrFU Shares Experience with School Students in Slovakia

Yesterday, in the occasion of the Russian Science Day, an online conference was organized by the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo (Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation) in Bratislava for senior pupils from A. Einstein Gymnasium, I. Horváth Gymnasium, ŠPMNDaG Gymnasium for Gifted Children, and other Slovak high schools. They learned about the history of the nuclear industry in Russia and the latest achievements of Ural Federal University in nuclear science.

Aleksandra Valtseva, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Thermal Power Plants at UrFU Ural Power Engineering Institute, made a bright presentation on nuclear power engineering and its place in the modern energy sector of Russian and the whole world. Evgenia Saburova, Head of UrFU International Marketing Office, told the students about the advantages of studying at Ural Federal University and life in Ekaterinburg.

Apart from that, the Slovak pupils took a virtual tour of a Russian nuclear power plant, and participated in a quiz about world-renowned Russian scientists.

Ural Federal University is looking forward to hosting new international students at Ural Power Engineering Institute and other institutes of UrFU to push world science together!
