Ural Federal University: Victor Koksharov Receives Birthday Greetings
Rector of Ural Federal University receives congratulations on his birthday, August 1, from colleagues, like-minded people, relatives and friends. Victor Koksharov turned 57 years old.
“Victor Anatolyevich is distinguished by his unquestionable authority among his colleagues in the rector’s community. I am impressed by Victor’s ability to personally dive into any issue, not only strategic planning, but also current activities, and by the way he freely uses English when communicating with numerous foreign partners,” says Nikita Anisimov, head of the Higher School of Economics.
According to Nikita Anisimov, the success of one of the country’s leading universities and one of the leaders in the group of federal universities clearly illustrates the talent of Victor Koksharov as a manager, a man who thinks strategically and makes decisions appropriate to the times and challenges that face the Russian higher education.
Victor Koksharov graduated from the Faculty of History of Ural State University and received a PhD in History. On April 9, 2010, he was appointed Rector of Ural Federal University.
He is a member of the Expert Council of the Russian Government, a member of the Russian Council on International Affairs, co-chairman of the Association of Leading Universities of Russia, chairman of the Council of Rectors of the Sverdlovsk Region, chairman of the Audit Commission of the Association of Social and Economic Universities of Russia, member of the Association of Technical Universities of Russia and China.
