UrFU Hosts Alumni Meeting for International Human Resource Management Program
For the ninth time in its history the English-taught Master’s program in International Human Resource Management is starting a new academic year. Three generations of students connected with the program took part in the organizational meeting within the framework of the First Day at the Ural Federal University event: freshmen Fadi Noail Azeez Heynia (Iraq), Nader Bahman (Iraq), sophomores Hammed Shamsudeen Odunlami (Nigeria), Huang Yue (China), Zhang Dehua (China), Xu Weichen (China), Liu Pengdi (China).
Among the graduates of the program, who are now postgraduate students in business and management programs at the Ural Federal University, were Liu Yongjian (China), Yanexa Mille Jimenez Quintero (Colombia).
It is noteworthy that for the last 2 years the program has been enriched with Master’s students who are winners of scholarship programs of the Russian Federation. These programs are the Open Doors Olympiad and the Rossotrudnichestvo quota, which are implemented to attract the best foreign applicants to study in Russia at the expense of the Russian state budget.
Among the winners are second-year master’s student Hammed Shamsudeen Odunlami (Nigeria, Open Doors Olympiad) and first-year students Heinia Fadi Noeil Aziz (Open Doors Olympiad), Toheeb Ipinloju (Nigeria, Open Doors Olympiad), Nader Bahman (Rossotrudnichestvo quota).
During the organizational meeting the students exchanged their opinions about how they spent the summer, what their plans are for the new academic year. The freshmen received valuable advice from the “seasoned” students about adaptation to the university, peculiarities of the educational process, life in Russia and Ekaterinburg, etc.
