VC did not participate in video conference: AMU clarifies

Aligarh: The Aligarh Muslim University today clarified that a news story carried in a Hindi newspaper saying that the Chief Minister had a video-conference with the Vice Chancellor regarding situation in AMU and Shahjamal area of Aligarh is completely false.

AMU clarifies that the Vice Chancellor, Professor Tariq Mansoor never attended any such video-conference meeting and in fact, he was in New Delhi in connection with an official assignment on the day of the video conferencing.

The video conferencing was done by the Chief Minister with the district officials regarding the U P Board High School and Intermediate examinations with which AMU has no connection.
