VC inaugurates Visitor’s Room at Begum Azizun Nisa Hall

 

Aligarh : Prof. Mohammad Gulrez, the Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University, inaugurated the Visitor’s Room at Begum Azizun Nisa Hall. This significant addition was met with enthusiasm and appreciation from the residents of the hall.

Prof. Subuhi Khan, the Hall’s Provost, emphasized the room’s pivotal role in providing comfort to visiting parents, guardians, and relatives of resident students. The facility boasts proper washroom amenities and accommodates up to 30 individuals, serving as both a resting haven and a meeting point.

Distinguished guests, including Prof. Naima Khatoon, Principal of Women’s College, and Mr. Mohammad Imran, IPS, the Registrar of AMU, graced the event alongside other dignitaries. The inauguration was followed by a plantation drive. Prof. Gulrez, Vice-Chancellor, planted a Neem tree, while others contributed medicinal trees to enrich the Hall’s Herbal Garden.

The celebrations continued with captivating performances by residents, including songs and the ‘Present the Culture of Your State’ Competition, showcasing the diverse tapestry of India. Mr. Mohammad Imran, IPS, the Registrar, encouraged prudent resource utilization, while the Vice-Chancellor underscored the Visitor’s Room’s particular significance, especially for the Girls’ Hall.
