On May 9 there will be a celebration dedicated to the 79th anniversary of the Victory in World War Two (the Great Patriotic War) on the square in front of the main academic building of the Ural Federal University (19, Mira Street). During the event there will be a wreath-laying ceremony at the monuments of the university: at the monument to the employees of the Ural Polytechnic Institute – Heroes of the Soviet Union and at the monument to the students, teachers and employees of the Ural Polytechnic Institute who took part in the Second World War.
