Vigilance Bureau nabs accused in technical education recruitment scam

Chandigarh: State Vigilance Bureau has arrested accused Paramvir Singh involved in the recruitment scam for the post of ‘Craft Instructors’ in Technical Education Department Punjab during the year 2013.

Disclosing this here today, an official spokesperson of Vigilance Bureau (VB) said this probe was conducted on the directions of Punjab and Haryana High Court.

During the course of enquiry, VB registered a FIR against the accused and also issued look out circular against Paramvir Singh who was an employee of the Technical Education Department.

He further informed that Vigilance has apprehended Paramvir Singh from Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi on 15.07.2020. During the investigation, Paramvir Singh has provided some vital leads thereby further investigation is under progress.
