Webinar on remote sensing and GIS organized
ALIGARH : The Aligarh Chapter of Indian Society of Remote Sensing (ISRS), Interdisciplinary Department of Remote Sensing and GIS Applications, Aligarh Muslim University organized a webinar on Entrepreneurial Opportunities in Remote Sensing and GIS Applications.
In his lecture, Mr Jawed Ahmad (Managing Director, FA Geocadsystems Pvt. Ltd, Noida, which is empanelled with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India) outlined various governmental and private funding options, while giving an industrial overview of Indian start-ups in the arena of remote sensing. He also underlined the pathways for the success of start-up incubation.
Mr Ahmad expressed interest in collaborating with AMU for providing incubation support to start-ups for both the faculty and students.
Earlier, Prof Qazi Mazhar Ali, Secretary, ISRS, Aligarh Chapter and Prof Akram Javed, Treasurer, ISRS welcomed the speaker and encouraged the participants to become a part of ISRS and contribute to it with scientific works.
Dr Haris Hasan Khan (Chairperson, Interdisciplinary Department of Remote Sensing and GIS Applications) delivered the welcome address, while Dr Rizwan Ahmad moderated the webinar.
The faculty members and students from AMU, NITs and foreign institutions from Iran, Africa, UAE, etc attended the webinar.
