Women’s Polytechnic organises webinar
Aligarh: The Secretarial Practice Section of the University Women’s Polytechnic, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) organised a webinar on ‘Impact of Covid 19 on Indian Economy: Issues and Challenges’ in which Dr Abdul Azeez N P (Assistant Professor, Department of Economics) shed light on key issues, the economy is facing during the pandemic.
He said that albeit serious challenges, the Indian economy may do better than other developing economies, heavily dependent on world trade.
“The Indian government is trying its best to curb the coronavirus outbreak for avoiding an economic disaster. A number of measures to tackle the situation are being implemented,” said Dr Salma Shaheen (Principal, University Women’s Polytechnic and the Convener of the webinar).
She added that the theme of the webinar is of utmost importance and productive for faculty and students alike.
Dr Sheeba Manzoor (Co-convener of the Webinar) introduced the resource person to the participants, whereas Mrs Asifa Ishrat (Coordinator) conducted the programme. Mr Amir Khan (Organizing Secretary) extended the vote of thanks.
Around 77 students and 12 faculty members participated in the webinar.
