Workshop on ‘Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy and Body Composition Monitor’

 

Aligarh : The Department of Medicine (Nephrology Division), Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and Hospital (JNMCH), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) conducted a workshop on “Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy and Body Composition Monitor” in collaboration with the Fresenius Medical Care, to provide hands on training to the dialysis technicians, nursing staff, students of BSc in dialysis and resident doctors.

In his inaugural address, Prof Rakesh Bhargava, Principal and CMS, JNMCH, emphasized the importance of training Dialysis Technicians and BSc dialysis students in workshops using new and innovative skills for better management of kidney disorder patients.

Prof Haris M. Khan, Medical Superintendent, also highlighted the importance of workshops.

Prof Anjum Parvez, Chairman, Department of Medicine, stressed upon the need for developing competence skills in new dialysis techniques to provide patient quality care and better management of kidney disorder patients.

Dr Mohd Aslam, Incharge, Nephrology Division and Dialysis Unit, said that with the newly introduced BSc course in dialysis, these Workshops provide the students with the opportunity to get acquainted with the latest modalities and techniques in dialysis which will help in availing suitable job opportunities in the healthcare sector.

Dr Saif Quaiser and Dr Husaini S. Haider Mehdi also highlighted the importance of developing new skills through such workshops.

Dr Amir Husain extended the vote of thanks, while Dr. N Madhu Hasini conducted the programme.

All the participants of the workshop were given certificates.
