World Environment Day: ADC Samba plants sapling at Veer Bhoomi
Samba: In connection with observance of World Environment Day 2021, a plantation drive was launched with the active cooperation of Social Club Samba in the premises of Samadi of Late Lt Arun Khetrpal at Samba.
Additional DC Samba, Suram Chand Sharma, while addressing the gathering highlighted the importance of celebrating this day for generating awareness among the general masses about the effects of Environment degradation on human health.
He urged the gathering to take a pledge to plant more and more trees in the days to come to preserve the environment from further degradation. He also exhorted for restoration of depleting water bodies for water conservation.
Later, the ADC also planted a sampling of Neem Tree in the premises of Veer Bhoomi Samadi of martyr Lt Arun Khetrpal.
Similar drives were also carried out in DC office, SSP office, Tehsil offices, District and sectoral offices.
