World Population Day: Awareness event on Family planning held at DH Ramban

RAMBAN : As part of the awareness campaign launched to mark World Population Day 2022 on the theme ‘A World of 8 Billion; a day to celebrate or analyze?,’ the District Health Society Ramban held an awareness seminar here today at District Hospital.

To mark the World Population Day 2022, the district Health authorities have organised a series of informative programmes in all medical blocks of the district in the last few days as per the guidelines issued by the Director General Health & Family Welfare.

Medical Superintendent, DH, Dr. Mehboob Iqbal Khan;Physician, Rajesh Pandita, DHO, DIO, General public, ASHA workers /ANMs and other staff members enthusiastically participated in the programme.

During the well attended programme, held under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Kamal Zadoo, Dy. Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Iqbal Bhat, the resource persons sensitized the public about the importance of family planning, besides discussing various methods of contraception in full detail.

Through their lectures, the Doctors impressed upon the public to take advantage of various methods of family planning sponsored by the Government which are free of cost.
