World University of Design witnessed a seminar commenced by Artillume
Sonipat: Artillume, a platform introducing and encouraging experimental new media arts yet again presented a seminar on Projection Mapping & Light as an Art, an introduction to Experimental New Media Arts and Design, at World University of Design (WUD), Sonipat, this time.
Artillume has recently initiated a series of Seminars in established universities as part of their plan. They have started commencing Seminars, Workshops and meet-ups regularly in order to create awareness regarding growing career opportunities in new media art and design and bringing young talent on board.
WUD being India’s first and only university dedicated to education in the creative domain was one of their target universities. The seminar held at WUD, focused on experimental new media arts, its importance and the new technology revolution in experimental arts. The event brought together a diverse group of students, young artists and technology enthusiasts under one roof to discuss the current scenario of new media arts and technology in India.
Speakers in the seminar included Mr Hitesh Kumar- Founder & CEO, Artillume / MD, Splat Media Private Limited, Mr Veenu Pasricha- Director, AV Graphics (P) Limited / Designer, Son-et-Lumiere Shows, Mr Anthony Lopez- Founder & Principal, Lopez Design, Mr Amardeep Behl- Principal Designer & Consultant, Design Habit Private Limited.
Speaking about the seminar Mr Hitesh Kumar, Founder & CEO of Artillume said “Creative thinkers always desire to give wings to their ideas however either fear of the unfamiliar or the lack of opportunities keep one from it. We believe that the Artillume initiative is going to be a big enabler of such creators through encouraging and exhibiting public display of new media light art in open spaces.”
“Artillume has shown our students a new way to blend art with light. It talks about the new magical experience it creates. I’m sure that a lot of our students would want to tinker with this concept to understand this new medium better”, said Mr SM Kulkarni, Dean of Academics & Visual Arts, WUD.
