World’s largest vaccination campaign to start in Madhya Pradesh from January 16
Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the country’s largest vaccination campaign will start in Madhya Pradesh from January 16 under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Our preparation is foolproof. The vaccines “Covishield” and “Covaxin” have been approved after passing through all tests. Both the vaccines are the best, totally safe and are capable to produce resistance to disease. Some people are trying to spread confusion, but we do not have to pay attention to them.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the ‘Madhya Pradesh Rural Loan Waiver Bill -2020’ will free the public from the clutches of moneylenders, who give and recover loans at arbitrary rates without a valid license. With this bill, all illegal loans taken till August 15, 2020 will be nullified. Tribals residing in scheduled areas have already been freed from such illegal loans through the Scheduled Tribes Loan Waiver Bill.
In the meeting of the State Council of Ministers held in Mantralaya today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Chouhan, several proposals including Madhya Pradesh Rural Loan Waiver Bill -2020 and the centrally promoted ‘Pradhan Mantri Micro Food Upgradation Scheme’ were approved. Members of the Cabinet and concerned officials were present in the meeting.
Review to be conducted through VC on January 14
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that he will hold discussion with Crisis Management Groups, religious leaders, social organizations, public representatives etc. of all the districts through video conferencing at 12:00 pm on January 14. The campaign will be successfully conducted in the state with everyone’s cooperation.
Four lakh 16 thousand health workers registered, 5 lakh doses
In the first phase of Corona vaccination, 4 lakh 16 thousand health workers have been registered including 85 thousand private health workers along with all government health workers. We are getting 5 lakh doses for them first. Out of this, 04 lakh 80 thousand will be of Covishield vaccine and 20 thousand of Covaxin.
Registration of frontline workers by January 25
The work of registration for Corona vaccination of frontline workers, including police personnel, security personnel, home guards, sanitation workers, etc., is underway. The last date of registration is 25 January. The number of these workers will be about 06 lakhs.
Webcasting will be done from 302 locations, Direct communicationfrom two centres
Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, will start the vaccination programme on January 16 simultaneously across the country. Webcasting of the programme will be done from 302 vaccination centres in Madhya Pradesh. Direct communication will be from JP Hospital, Bhopal and MGM College, Indore.
Vaccine likely to be available on January 13
Vaccine is likely to be made available from the centre by air in four stores in Madhya Pradesh including Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior and Jabalpur on the morning of January 13. After this, the vaccine will be delivered in all the districts of the state within 24 hours. Madhya Pradesh has the capacity to store 4.2 million vaccine doses, which is sufficient.
28 thousand 365 vaccinators
Training of 28 thousand 365 vaccinators has been completed in the state. Vaccination will take place at 1149 centres in the state. Apart from the vaccination team, a doctor will also be posted at each centre. Vaccination work will be completed in 42 districts of the state in 5 days and in the remaining districts it will be completed in 4 days.
Legitimate licensed moneylenders will be able to provide loans
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that there will be no restriction on money lenders with a valid license to grant loans at the prescribed government rates under the Madhya Pradesh Rural Loan Waiver Bill -2020. They will be able to recover the loan as per rules. Also, there will be no restriction on farmers who give advances / loans to labourers.
Centre’s scheme will aid in preparing infrastructure for food processing
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the centrally promoted Pradhan Mantri Micro Food Upgradation Scheme will be useful in preparing the infrastructure of food processing in Madhya Pradesh. In this, the Centre and State’s share will be 60 and 40. Under this, 35 percent credit linkage will be provided to Farmer Producer Groups, Self-Help Groups, Co-operative Committees etc. on setting up laboratories, warehouses, incubation centres, cold stores etc.
