The scientific research conference of schoolchildren began its work.
The conference is an interregional open research event for students of educational institutions of the North-West Federal District and is organized by the Paanajarvi National Park with the support of Petrozavodsk State University.
The purpose of the conference is to exchange experience of children’s research work, draw attention to protected areas, increase public awareness of the activities of the national park and schools, expand regional cooperation in the field of environmental education
This year the conference is being held in an unusual format for itself at ZOOM-sites, organized with the support of the RCNIT PetrSU.
The conference was attended by schoolchildren of grades 1-11 from the Republic of Karelia, the Murmansk region, St. Petersburg and Moscow.
The conference will last for three days and will include thematic sections on biology, local history, a section “Research debut” for younger students and a section for leaders. The organization of the broadcast of the reports of the conference participants will be organized on the basis of the Lyceum No. 40.
During the opening of the conference, a ceremonial meeting was held with an interesting online excursion around the Museum of Paanajärvi National Park, which was conducted by A.V. Paanajärvi, Head of the Department for Scientific Work and Environmental Education of the Park. Protasova.
