Youth 20 Summit 2023: International delegates participating in event deliberate & negotiate on 5 identified themes for finalization of Y20 Communique

On the third day of the Youth 20 Summit- 2023 which is underway at Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, the international delegates participating in the event deliberated and negotiated on the five identified themes for the finalization of Y20 Communique. The themes include Future of Work: Industry 4.0, Innovation and 21st Century Skills, Shared Future: Youth in Democracy and Governance and Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction. Talking to Akashvani News, Director, Department of Youth Affairs, Pankaj Kumar Singh said that very interesting and healthy discussions are taking place among the delegates to finalize the Y20 Communiques.

Akashvani correspondent reports that as part of the Summit, a session on ‘Empowering the Amrit Generation through participatory Governance’ was also organised today. It was followed by an insightful glimpse of MyGov platform. It was informed through the presentation that MyGov has time and again solicited inputs for drafting policies from citizens. The four-day Summit which began on 17th of this month was formally inaugurated yesterday by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Singh Thakur. The Youth 20 (Y20) Summit is being organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports under the framework of India’s G20 Presidency. The Y20 Summit is the culmination of various meetings including Inception Meeting at Guwahati, Pre Summit at Leh, Ladakh, and various Jan Bhagidari events conducted across the country in the run-up to this main Summit. Around 125 delegates from G20 countries, Guest countries and International Organizations are participating in the Summit.
