Youth Forum “RISE” in Sortavala

The VI Youth Forum “RISE” will take place on April 16 at 14:00 in Sortavala. The event is organized by the Social and Cultural Youth Center of the Sortavala Municipal District.
VZLOT Youth Forum – the most current trends, programs, projects and events. The purpose of the forum is to offer youth opportunities for self-realization, education, and development of abilities. The Vzlyot Forum is a platform for communication, development and promotion of current trends, ideas and projects for high school students, students and their parents. The forum will host lectures, trainings, seminars, discussions, master classes, presentations, competitions, film screenings.

The event is held for prospective students to talk about educational opportunities in various educational institutions. Petrozavodsk State University is a permanent participant of this event. Petrozavodsk University will be represented by the Institute of Forestry, Mining and Construction Sciences . Deputy Director of the Institute of Forest, Mining and Construction Sciences of PetrSU, Candidate of Technical Sciences V.A. Shain has developed a participation program.

Students of educational institutions and their parents will get acquainted with modern technological solutions used by the Institute of Forest, Mining and Construction Sciences of PetrSU in the field of thermometry and remote scanning of industrial facilities, such as a thermal imager, a 3D scanner, and special software for creating 3D models of objects. During the master class, listeners will have the opportunity to see how and why thermometry is performed, how a 3D model of various objects is created in the field.

The event is aimed at implementing a roadmap with the Administration of the Sortavala municipal district as part of the implementation of the flagship university development program.
