YVO’s Future Leaders Program (FLP) applications open for students and educational institutions to join its last batch for the year

YVO’s Future Leaders Program (FLP) is inviting applications from students and educational institutions to join its last batch for the year, beginning in December 2022. FLP introduces social entrepreneurship to young minds, combines leadership and social service, making it easier for youth aged 16 – 25 years to contribute to social good.

Maharashtra Govt NSS Unit has appreciated and recognised YVO’s Future Leaders program as an impactful initiative to create the next generation of social leaders. It highly recommends colleges to enrol their students in this program which will have more future leaders with social entrepreneurship skills and thereby create more leaders.

“This is to certify that the Young Volunteers Organisation (YV0) is doing commendable work in the field of social service. YVO with an objective of teaching life skills such as goal setting, time management, conflict resolution and building capacity and creating sustained partnerships amongst the youth, have started an initiative called Future Leaders Program (FLP) in August 2020. FLP focuses on empowering the next generation of leaders with social entrepreneurship skills to create a meaningful impact in the society, thereby making the world a better place to live in. FLP is conceptualised and run by accomplished professionals and industry stalwarts from various fields wh0 are alumni of reputed educational institutions such as Harvard/Stanford/LBS.

Candidates who wish to apply for FLP can register online at the official website of Young Volunteers Organisation. The new batch starts from 16 December, 2022. The last date for submission of application is 5 December, 2022. It is an online program and one can enrol from anywhere, across India and abroad. Each batch, with a maximum of 50 students, will have 8 sessions of 1 to 1.5 hrs each, divided over 4 weekends.

“FLP helps students deep dive into the workings of a non-profit organization and teaches skills that are useful in today’s world such as digital marketing, fundraising and innovation in the social sector. FLP also inculcates in them essential leadership skills by encouraging students to communicate and interact with each other and with various NGOs by undertaking various projects and assignments. The skills that participants gain from YVO’s Future Leaders Program are beneficial to become active members of an organisation or society and are fundamental to become future leaders that will create value,” Siddharth Ladsariya further added.

 

Future Leaders Program (FLP) was launched in 2020 by Young Volunteers Organisation (YVO), an Indian non-profit organisation. Since its inception, more than 200 students from various educational institutes such as IIM Ranchi, IIM Ahmedabad, Harvard Business School, KLS Gogte Institute of Technology (Belgaum), Smt. Kashibai Navale Medical College Pune, Rockwell International School Hyderabad and more have participated and benefitted from this program.

FLP is conceptualised and run by accomplished professionals and Industry stalwarts from various fields who are alumni of reputed Indian as well as International Institutions such as Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad (MICA), South Indian Education Society (SIES), Harvard Business School, Stanford Business School, London Business School, and more.

 

“FLP brings out the future leadership qualities in oneself. I am grateful and blessed to be a part of the Future Leaders Programme and Young Volunteers Organization. It has indeed brought a change in my perspective. Every week was a fun learning experience. I met some experienced people in the field who have been superb mentors and great friends. “During the covid time, I got to spend time with 30 young minds at YVOs FLP who belonged to different backgrounds and cities yet shared a common aim. I learnt about Social Entrepreneurship, Social impact evaluation – Virtual Tours of NGOs, Auditing, Implementation- Online fundraising campaigns, Essential skill sets like Digital Marketing and much more. Those four weeks will never be forgotten and will remain a lifelong experience for me. This program happens virtually.
