ZADC Prof wins prize in essay competition

Aligarh: A distinctly structured essay elucidating the accomplishment of teaching procedures in oral medicine and radiology during the pandemic by Prof Pradhuman Verma, Department of Oral Pathology/ Oral Medicine and Radiology, Dr ZA Dental College (ZADC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) won him the second position in the National Online Essay Competition on ‘Effective Teaching Methodologies in the Department of OMR during Covid-19 Pandemic’.

He was announced as one of the ‘Faculty Category’ winners of the competition organised by the Indian Academy of Oral Medicine and Radiology in a virtual event recently.

In the essay, Prof Pradhuman expounded the changes in issues related to cross-infection control and pedagogical issues with curricular changes.

He delineated challenges concerning practical activities of radiological interpretation and the execution of radiographic techniques during Covid-19. He explained how distance learning can be made more dynamic, interactive, and appropriate.

Prof Pradhuman joined as a Professor at ZADC in December, 2020. He is a life member of Indian Dental Association (Punjab), Indian Academy of Oral Medicine and Radiology, Indian Academy of Forensic Odontology and Indian Society of Dental Research.
