The Institute of Economics and Law has launched a new project “School of IEP”
The IEP School is an opportunity for students from various institutes of PetrSU to improve legal and economic literacy by participating in educational lectures prepared by the IEP teachers.
The first event within the framework of the IEP School took place in the coworking space (11 Gyllinga Embankment). The organizers were the deputy. Director for educational and vocational guidance O.V. Larchenko and activists of the Institute of Economics and Law. The event was attended by students of the Institute of Foreign Languages and the Institute of Economics and Law, as well as teachers E.A. Vorontsova, S.G. Golenok and T.G. Kadnikov.
The following speakers spoke to the audience: Dmitry Sergeevich Kalugin, senior state inspector of the traffic police; Elena Andreevna Vorontsova, Ph.D. in Economics, Associate Professor of the Department of Finance, Financial Law, Economics and Accounting, IEP; Tatyana Gennadievna Kadnikova, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Finance, Financial Law, Economics and Accounting, IEP.
D.S. Kalugin spoke about the conditions for obtaining rights, about the latest changes made to the legislation on traffic rules, explained the rights and obligations of the driver and traffic police inspector, and also answered questions from the audience. E.A. Vorontsov and T.G. Kadnikov gave a lecture on the topic “Taxes and Where They Go”. Students learned about the types of taxes, how they are charged and paid, and where taxes are collected.
