AMU alumnus wins first prize in a national level essay writing competition
Aligarh: Fahad Zuberi, a former student of the Aligarh Muslim University, has been declared as the winner of the first prize in a national level essay writing competition organized by the CEPT (Centre for Environment Planning & Technology) University, Ahmedabad.
Zuberi, who got a B Arch degree from the Aligarh Muslim University in 2015 and later completed M Arch from the CEPT University in 2019, won the prize on his essay on “Dwelling in Asian Cities: Imagination, Ideas and Aspirations”. He is currently an Associate with Masters and PhD programmes at CEPT University and takes an active part in contemporary socio-political discourse.
According to a CEPT University release, about 150 entries were received from all over the country, out of which 30 essays were shortlisted through a blind peer review process and the top two essays were chosen by an eminent jury.
The award ceremony will be held shortly and the top ten essays will be published by the CEPT University press, the release added.
