Officers must gear up for control of Corona in Chambal region; Recovery rate of Madhya Pradesh is 76.5 percent
Bhopal : Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhanhas issued instructions to the district collectors and Officers in-charge to remain alert and make efforts to control the problem before it increases in Chambal region. Shri Chouhan instructed to ensure effective implementation of the “Kill Corona Campaign” starting from July 1 in the entire state. Reviewing the Corona situation in Morena district, the Chief Minister said that curfew imposed as a precautionary measure should be continued. All should gear up to work for controlling the disease. He told Principal Secretary Shri Malay Shrivastava to keep a constant watch on the situation. On receiving information about 59 positive cases in Morena on Monday, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan expressed concern and sought detailed information about Morena. Officer-in-charge Shri Malay Shrivastava informed that the densely populated colonies of Morena would be covered in the Kill-Corona campaign starting from July 1.
Now Corona will be completely eliminated
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that with the combined efforts of everyone in the last three months, we have succeeded in controlling Corona to a great extent. Madhya Pradesh has set an example for other states of the country in Corona control. The activities of Madhya Pradesh have also been appreciated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi recently. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that “Kill Corona” campaign is being conducted in the next phase to make the state totally corona free. He called on all sections of the society to participate in the campaign.
Additional Chief Secretary Health Mohammad Suleman informed that there are sufficient beds available for patients in Morena. Necessary arrangements have also been made to quarantine suspected patients. Positive cases have come up because of people coming from other places. The situation will improve as the curfew continues. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that all the Officers in-charge should constantly review the efforts being made after obtaining regular information about areas under their charge. Shri Chouhan said that fever clinics should work at full capacity. Necessary treatment and guidance should be provided to the citizens on the basis of the symptoms of the disease in the Door to Door Survey starting from Wednesday.
It was informed in the video conference and review meeting that Madhya Pradesh is in a better position than other states in Corona control. The growth rate in the state is 1.46 percent, which is lesser than half of the country’s average growth rate of 3.68. The recovery rate of the state is 76.5 percent, which is slightly less than the Rajasthan which is in the first place with 77.1. With testing facility developing in the state, the virus has been controlled to a great extent successfully. In the last 24 hours, 9 thousand 855 tests have been conducted. Only 223 positive cases have been found out of these. It was also informed in the video conference that the recovery rate in the medical colleges in the state has also improved. The recovery rate in Bhopal’s Chirayu Medical College, besides Jabalpur, Indore, Ratlam and Khandwa Medical College, is 80 percent and above. At present there are 1106 containment areas in the state.
Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains, Principal Secretary Health Shri Faiz Ahmed Kidwai were also present at the meeting.
