Aligarh : Prof BP Singh, Department of Physics, AMU, delivered invited talk at the “Fifth International Conference on Application of RadiotraCers and Energetic Beams in Sciences” (ARCEBS) held during January 31- February 05, 2023, by the Sidho-Kanho-Birsha University, Purulia, West Bengal, held in collaboration with International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Vienna, Austria.

The title of the invited talk was “A Comprehensive Study of Break UpFusion Reactions at Near Barrier Energies”. He discussed in detail about the collaborative work done using the heavy-ion beams obtained from the Pelletron Accelerator facility of the Inter University Accelerator Centre (IUAC), New Delhi, an autonomous center of UGC for accelerator-based research. He elaborated three complementary experiments carried out and the systematics developed to explain the break up fusion reactions in heavy ion collision at energies 4-7 MeV/nucleon.The AMU Aligarh also has MoU with the IUAC, New Delhi for carrying out research work in multidisciplinary area of physics.

Prof. Singh is presently involved in the science popularization activities under the scientific social responsibility program of the government of India.
