AMU scholars get Best Paper Award

 

ALIGARH  : Altaf Ali, a PhD scholar in the Department of Library and Information Science, Aligarh Muslim University has been conferred the ‘Best Paper’ award for his paper, ‘A bibliometric analysis of top-cited articles published in high-ranked knowledge management journals’ at the 21st International Conference of MANLIBNET on ‘Empowering Libraries and Connects Communities 2023’, organised by the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad (IMTG).

Ali is working as a Junior Research Fellow under the supervision of Dr. Mohammad Nazim, who along with Dr. Shakil Ahmad, Liaison Librarian (Saudi Arabia), co-authored the paper. The award includes a certificate of recognition and a cash prize of Rs. 5000/-.

The paper authors explored citation classics and their relevance in the field of knowledge management and found out that articles published between 2013 and 2014 received the most citations. Emerald Group journals were dominant with the “Journal of Knowledge Management” and “Journal of Intellectual Capital”.

Prof Nishat Fatima, Chairperson of the department, congratulated Mr Ali and the co-authors on their achievement.
