0

The University Diploma “Agir pour le climat” from the Université Paris-Saclay is part of AllCAN : Alliance for Climate Action Now and will allow students to master the foundations and challenges of climate and ecological transitions to complete and put in perspective their initial training, whether in science and engineering, life sciences or human and social sciences.

The training aims to hybridize the knowledge of engineers and academics to accelerate the climate transition. It differs from traditional training by focusing learning on a collective project that combines the disciplinary expertise of learners. The objective is the acquisition of methods of systemic analysis and know-how at the crossroads of techniques, sciences and humanities.

The “Acting for the Climate” DU offers Master’s level learners in their discipline a holistic view of the challenges of transitions, coupled with a section on putting into practice and sharing what has been learned.

A look back below at the launch of this new program, which is being done with Valérie Masson-Delmotte, research director at the CEA and co-president of group nᵒ 1 of the IPCC since 2015, and Estelle Iacona, president of the University of Paris-Saclay.
