Clean India: DC Samba reviews preparedness for month-long campaign

 

SAMBA : Deputy Commissioner Samba, Anuradha Gupta today reviewed the preparedness for the month long Clean India programme starting from October 1, here at a meeting of stakeholder departments held in the Conference hall of the DC office.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Suram Chand Sharma; Chief Planning Officer Sukhleen Kour; Assistant Commissioner Development Sidharath Dhiman; Assistant Commissioner (Panchayat) Ashwani Kumar, besides Additional Superintendent of Police and other district officers attended the meeting.

The Deputy Commissioner said that the Clean India progamme going to start from 1st October has been envisaged as people’s movement through Jan Bhagidari. She enumerated the key activities to be undertaken during programne. She said collection and disposal of waste, village beautification and maintenance of Heritage Sites, cleaning of traditional water resources, creating Hotspot for waste collection and others shall be prime focus areas. The campaign will have three phases: preparatory phase, launching phase and collection of waste and disposal.

The DC directed the district officers to work in coordinated manner for achieving the desired results. The DC also directed the concerned to submit the department wise action plan for the Clean India campaign.
