Cooperation between PetrSU and the Medvezhyegorsk District Administration
In accordance with the agreement on cooperation between PetrSU and the Medvezhyegorsk municipal district, as well as the implementation of the Pivotal University Program, on April 14, a meeting was held at the Medvezhyegorsk District Administration on promoting tourism development in the Medvezhyegorsk Municipal District.
The meeting was attended by representatives of PetrSU Vladimir Ivanovich Shevchenko, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Tourism of the Institute of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism of PetrSU, Elena Yurievna Guseva, Director of the Interdistrict Resource Center of PetrSU in Segezha.

Assoc. Vladimir Ivanovich Shevchenko made a report “Service strategy for creating an effective tourist product”, spoke about the possibilities and new trends in tourism development in Karelia, demonstrated a family guide to Medvezhyegorsk region prepared by students of the Institute of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism of PetrSU; proposed options for the development of tourism in the Medvezhyegorsk region.
After the speech, a broad discussion unfolded. Topical issues of the state of the tourist infrastructure near the movement of the main tourist flow were raised. As a result, we agreed on further interaction between representatives of the district administration, PetrSU and the business community in the development of the tourist potential of the Medvezhyegorsk district.
Head of the Administration of the Municipal Formation “Medvezhyegorsk Municipal District” M.L. Antipov thanked the representatives of PetrSU for the event and expressed hope for continued active cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, E.Yu. Guseva presented M.L. Antipov a letter of thanks from the rector of PetrSU A.V. Voronin for a great personal contribution to cooperation between PetrSU and Medvezhyegorsk region.
