DDC Rajouri reviews functioning of Jan Aushidi Kendras in the district

 

RAJOURI : District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review the functioning of the Jan Aushadhi Kendras in the district.

Officers who attended the meeting included Principal GMC&AH, Gulam Ali Shah; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; CMO, Dr Shamim Un Nissa Bhatti; MS GMC&AH, Dr Anees Altaf Nabi; DHO, Dr Khalid and BMOs.

The meeting was apprised that the government has sanctioned nine Aushidi Kendras for the district out of which 4 are functional. It was further informed that around 41914 patients have availed the benefit from the centres till date.

The DDC said that the aim of Jan Aushidi Kendras was to make quality medicines available at affordable prices for all particularly the poor and disadvantaged.

He underlined the need for creating mass awareness about the benefits of generic medicines to counter the perception that the quality was synonymous with high price only.

DDC also reviewed the block wise progress of covid vaccination of 12 to 14 year age group and asked the concerned officers to achieve the target in this regard at the earliest.
