DDC reviews progress of schemes implemented by RDD at Shopian

Shopian: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse today convened a meeting to review the progress of different schemes including Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSSs) being implemented by RDD, here.

The meeting took a detailed review of CSSs viz. MGNREGA, PMAY, 14th FC, 15th FC, B2V- SBMG and CD Panchayat.

The meeting was informed that the work is a pace on different Rural Development works in all nine Blocks of the district under MGNREGA.

The DDC stressed for time bound completion of all ongoing works under various schemes. He impressed upon the concerned officers to ensure completion of works including geo tagging, completion of PMAY houses, Aadhar seedings and also asked to expedite the progress under 14th FC.

He asked BDOs to improve the performance at ground level and speed up the process of estimation so that the targeted works are taken up in time and the benefits of the works gets percolated down to the target public.

The DDC directed the BDOs to submit statements of works completed so far. He also stressed upon them to ensure the quality of works undertaken and for proper utilization of funds so that the rural population is able to get the benefits of the schemes of the department.

Among others, the meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Assistant Commissioner Development, Assistant Director Planning, Executive Engineer REW, AEEs, Block Development Officers and other concerned officers and officials.
