DIC Doda holds series of awareness programs on self employment schemes

DC Doda urges attendees to avail benefits of youth centric initiatives

 

DODA : To extend the benefits of Self Employment Schemes to the unemployed youths, District Industries Centre Doda today conducted series of Awareness camps at ITI Doda, Facilitation cell DIC office Doda and at Tehsil Headquarter Mohalla.

A team of DIC Doda comprising Functional Manager, Industrial Promotion Officers and other staff members conducted the camps on the direction of District Development Commissioner, Vikas Sharma and under the guidance of General Manager DIC Dr. Khalid Hussain Malik.

Deputy Commissioner chaired the interactive session with ITI Students and others organised by DIC to encourage the participants to avail incentives and hand holding being provided by the Government under Prime Minister Employment Guarantee Program (PMEGP) and other self employment schemes run by different departments as a Career Option.

He urged the participant to reap the benefits of special initiatives of UT administration launched to cater to the needs of unemployed youth and contribute positively in the overall development of the UT and the nation.

Earlier, the Functional Manager educated the participants about different schemes being implemented by Central Govt. and UT administration.

 

Industrial Promotions officers Neeraj Sharma and Swaroop Kotwal invited the attendees to start small ventures in the services and manufacturing sector. They encouraged the youth by sharing success stories of youth who have opted the Self Employment schemes of I&C Department and are now leading entrepreneurs of District Doda.
