Edelweiss Tokio Life collaborates with IIT Jodhpur for a workshop on organ donation

 

Hyderabad: Edelweiss Tokio Life India’s leading Insurance company conducted a workshop on organ donation and its concepts at IIT Jodhpur. The objective is to create awareness and encourage more individuals to come forward and support the cause of organ donation.

Edelweiss Tokio Life Insurance and IIT Jodhpur have collaborated to bring the synergy and create the awareness of organ donation to benefit the citizens of India. IIT Jodhpur, one of the leading institutes of technology in India has conducted many initiatives for channelizing new ideas and has taken collaborative steps for the various national causes.

The recent study by Edelweiss Tokio Life Insurance reveals only 24% of Indians showed their willingness to donate organs after their demise, with just 3% having recorded their intent with the concerned authority. The study for Edelweiss Tokio Life Insurance, in association with Karvy Insights, reveals that 80% of the 1565 respondents who joined are aware of the concept of organ donation, 67% believe it to be significant, but only 35% know the procedure of how to donate their organs.

Edelweiss Tokio Life Insurance will witness November as Organ Donation Awareness Month with Zindagi Unlimited Campaign. Edelweiss Tokio Life Insurance will be conducting a campaign for public awareness for this noble cause with MOHAN Foundation, an NGO who is actively involved in this initiative, the company will conduct informative workshops and create a podium for individuals to educate them about the procedure of organ donation.
