Educational seminar “30 years of the revival of the Petrozavodsk and Karelian diocese”
On March 25, at the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology, an educational and educational seminar “30 years of the revival of the Petrozavodsk and Karelian Diocese” was held within the framework of the All-Russian scientific and practical conference “II Sretensky Educational Readings. Anniversary Milestones: History and Modernity”.
Opening the seminar, the moderator, director of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology, Ph.D. R.E. Ermolenko congratulated Metropolitan of Petrozavodsk and Karelian Constantine, Governor of the Petrozavodsk and Karelian Diocese, Head of the Karelian Metropolitanate, Chairman of the Synodal Liturgical Commission on the anniversary and expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation.
In his report, Metropolitan of Petrozavodsk and Karelian Constantine spoke about the events associated with the activities of St. Alexander Nevsky.
The facts describing not only Orthodoxy, but also the history of the Karelian region were presented in the speeches of Archpriest John Terenyak, rector of the Cathedral of St. blgv. led. book Alexander Nevsky; Archpriest Konstantin Savander, head of the youth department of the Petrozavodsk and Karelian diocese; Murashova Natalya Petrovna, employee of the Spiritual and Educational Orthodox Center in the name of St. Alexander Svirsky.
At the seminar, the issues of spiritual and moral education of students were also raised in the report of Alexander Alexandrovich Tikhonov, head of the KROMD “Tradition”, the Cathedral of St. blgv. led. book Alexander Nevsky.
The worldview aspect of Orthodoxy was voiced in the reports of Priest Vyacheslav Rasputin, rector of the Temple in the name of Sts. Royal New Martyrs s. Novaya Vilga and Murashov Pavel Alexandrovich, employee of the department of religious education and catechesis of the Petrozavodsk and Karelian dioceses.
