GDC Baramulla signs MoU with CIIIT, Baramulla

Baramulla: The Postgraduate Department of Computer Applications, Government Degree College, Baramulla on Saturday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Centre for Invention, Innovation, Incubation, and Training (CIIIT), Baramulla at GDC, here.

The MoU was signed by Prof. (Dr.) Mushtaq Ahmad Lone, Principal, GDC, Baramulla and Dr. Shafqat Ara, Principal, Government Polytechnic College, Baramulla.

The MOU was signed with an aim to encourage knowledge sharing for up-skilling students of the college pursuing undergraduate and post-graduate programmes.

Besides, with a vision of collaboration to promote professional development, transfer of skills and knowledge in new technology areas conforming to Industry 4.0, for their better employability.

The signatories of the MoU agreed to share necessary infrastructure like machines, tools, materials and human resources for conducting such skill based training. Activities undertaken as part of the MoU may include seminars, workshops, training courses, mentoring, and exchange programmes, as well as professional leadership development.

Meanwhile, CIIIT and Tata Technologies shall provide/honor students with certificates who successfully complete the course/internship.

The other dignitaries present on the occasion included, Prof. A. M. Chalkoo, Associate Professor of Botany and Coordinator, IQAC and Prof. Arshad Ahmad Yatoo, Head, Postgraduate Department of Computer Applications of the college.
