“In conversations with students in the first semester, I hear again and again how desperately they are looking for housing and in the end have to live way overpriced or far outside of Karlsruhe,” says Professor Olaf Dössel, Chairman of the student residence hall of KIT eV. “We want to do that with the new building contribute to defusing the housing situation for students and, above all, to create affordable housing.” The new dormitory is located in the immediate vicinity of the KIT Campus South and offers 103 furnished rooms with their own wet room, communal kitchens, lounges and a balcony on each floor.
