Korea Maritime & Ocean University Awards Honorary Doctorate To Chairman Of Jeilhang Station

Jeilhang Station Co. , Ltd. Chairman Park Gwang-hyun was awarded an honorary doctorate in business administration from our university .



Chairman Park Gwang-hyun’s honorary doctorate degree conferment ceremony was held on the 26th in the seminar room of the new building of the Maritime University, with President Do Do-hee Do, Chairman Park Gwang-hyun, and key officials from home and abroad in attendance.



President Park Gwang -hyun is an alumni who graduated from the Department of Institutions ( Class of 54 , Class of 10 ) .



After graduating from college, he devoted his whole life to a specialized industry called ‘ Air Shipping ‘ and contributed greatly to the development of Korea’s aviation and shipping industry .



He also made a significant contribution to the development of the university .



After graduation, President Park Gwang-hyun made ceaseless efforts for the development of his alma mater, such as donating a total of 300 million won to the university development fund .



Currently, we are actively helping to nurture excellent talents in the field of future ships that will lead the future maritime industry .



This is very meaningful in that it is a scholarship that is supported every year in accordance with the purpose of the ‘ Future Ships Talent Nurturing Support Association ‘ , which was established to nurture talents in the field of future ships .



In addition, in 2000, he served as the 10th president of the University Alumni Association, enhancing mutual friendship among alumni.
