Korea Maritime & Ocean University: Held a welcome ceremony for the government-invited foreign scholarship students (GKS) for the second semester of 2022

On the morning of the 2nd , the International Exchange Headquarters ( Chief Im Seon -young ) held a welcome ceremony and orientation for the scholarship students at the BPA Convention Hall in the International Exchange Cooperation Center .



This project is a short-term course support project hosted by the National Institute of International Education of the Ministry of Education. Participating foreign scholarship students receive living expenses , settlement support , round- trip airfare , medical insurance , and tuition . At Korea Maritime University, a total of 14 students and 7 students for master ‘s and doctoral degree programs study through the project .



In particular, this short-term course support project consists of three detailed courses: excellent exchange students , exchange students from countries with strategic cooperation , and invited students . 14 students were invited from four sister universities in Denmark , Malaysia , Indonesia and Japan . The degree program consists of three master’s students and four doctoral students, who are students from five countries : Azerbaijan , Indonesia , Mongolia , Kenya , and Vietnam .



At the welcome ceremony held on the morning of the 2nd , during a meeting with the scholarship students, Lim Seon-young, head of the International Exchange Division, said, “ This project is a global scholarship project through our university’s excellent maritime leadership education. We will continue to do our best to improve it . ”
