Korea Maritime & Ocean University holds joint development plans with World Maritime University

Key officials from our university, led by President Do Do-Hee Do, and the faculty of the World Maritime University (WMU) gathered to discuss plans for joint development, including nurturing maritime experts .



The meeting held at the university headquarters on the 17th was attended by key officials from both universities, including President Do Do-Hee Do, World Maritime University Professor Rafael Baumler , Professor Francis Neat , and Research Fellow Catherine Old .



The World Maritime University is a master’s course training institution for maritime professionals established by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), a specialized organization under the United Nations . It is located in Malmo, Sweden .



These attendees held discussions for common development and cooperation . In particular, various opinions were exchanged in order to more broadly nurture talented people who lead the marine field .



“ Our university and the World Maritime University will continue to work together based on exchanges and cooperation so that Korea’s shipping industry can leap to a higher level, ” said President Doh Do- hee. I will do my best ” he said .
