Korea Maritime & Ocean University signs agreement with the National Institute of Marine Biological Resources

Our university and the National Institute of Marine Biological Resources ( Director Wan-Hyun Choi ) signed a business agreement for the purpose of developing marine science and technology . With this agreement as an opportunity, the two organizations will join forces to nurture talents in the field of marine science .



The business agreement ceremony held at the university headquarters on the 10th was attended by key officials from both institutions, including President Do Do-hee Do and Director Choi Wan-hyeon of the National Marine Biological Resources Office .



According to the agreement, the two institutions jointly utilize human and material resources to promote research for marine research and development . In addition, ▲ mutual exchange of knowledge information and joint hosting of symposiums and seminars ▲ utilization of human and material resources ( facilities , equipment , ships ) related to education to nurture excellent talents will be mutually cooperated .



In the future, the two organizations plan to do their best to nurture talents in related fields through mutual exchanges for the purpose of common development .



Choi Wan-hyeon, director of the National Marine Biological Resources Administration, said, ” We will continue to make efforts to establish a network in the field of marine science and technology through cooperation with universities specializing in marine science and to spread achievements through fostering excellent talents . “

Meanwhile, since its establishment in 2015 , the National Institute of Marine Biological Resources is responsible for marine bio-resources, and has been carrying out tasks such as supporting the development of the marine bio-industry , securing and managing marine bio-resources, and spreading values ​​to the public .
